READ MOREConvex compression springs are helical springs that are subjected to axial pressure. They are shaped like a convex curve or arc at the end, which gives them a more unique appearance and possible performance advantages over conventional cylindrical compression springs.
When a convex compression spring is subjected to axial pressure, it contracts and stores deformation energy. Like conventional compression springs, convex compression springs also use multiple open coils to provide resistance to external load pressure.

READ MOREConvex compression spring winding process
Ningbo Chaoying Spring Industry & Trade Co., Ltd., as a senior creator and researcher in the field of spring manufacturing, relies on high-precision CNC spring forming machines and dozens of fully automatic spring forming machines introduced from Japan and Taiwan, combined with nearly 20 years of practical experience, focusing on the production and innovation of spring products. We are committed to providing customers with high-quality convex compression spring products and professional technical support.
The winding process of Convex compression spring is a key link in the spring manufacturing process. This process uses precision CNC equipment to gradually bend raw materials (such as carbon spring steel, stainless steel, etc.) into compression springs with convex profiles. In this process, it is necessary to strictly control multiple parameters such as material feeding speed, tension, winding angle, and mold accuracy to ensure the shape accuracy of the spring, uniform internal stress distribution, and stable mechanical properties.
Detailed explanation of the process flow
Material preparation and pretreatment
Before winding and forming, the raw materials must first be strictly inspected and pretreated. The company will conduct comprehensive inspections on the chemical composition, physical properties, surface quality, etc. of the materials to ensure that the materials meet the manufacturing requirements. At the same time, the material is annealed as needed to eliminate internal residual stress and improve the plasticity and toughness of the material.
Equipment debugging and mold installation
The company's technicians will debug the CNC spring forming machine to ensure that the various parameters of the equipment (such as winding speed, force, angle, etc.) meet the manufacturing requirements of convex compression spring. At the same time, according to the design size and shape of the spring, a special winding mold is installed and calibrated to ensure the matching accuracy between the mold and the equipment.
Winding molding
After the equipment debugging and mold installation are completed, the winding molding process can be started. The raw material is fed into the molding machine through the feeding device, and is gradually bent into a convex profile under the guidance of the mold. During this process, the company's CNC system will accurately control the material feeding speed, tension, winding angle and other parameters according to the preset program to ensure the shape accuracy of the spring and the uniform distribution of internal stress.
Cutting and shaping
When the material is wound to the required length, the molding machine will automatically cut the material. Subsequently, the cut spring is shaped to eliminate the slight deformation or irregular shape caused by the winding process. Company adopts advanced shaping equipment and technology to ensure that key indicators such as spring verticality and end surface flatness meet design requirements.
